HealthMEDX Computer Information Systems Scholarship
Students receiving undergraduate degrees in May 2007 or August 2007 are not eligible for this scholarship.
Purpose: To provide scholarships for majors in Computer Information Systems.
Award Component: Three $500 scholarships.
Selection Criteria:
1. Enrolled as Junior status Computer Information Systems major with two semesters remaining before graduation.
2. Enrollment in 12 hours or more each semester.
3. Minimum 2.8 GPA.
4. Leadership.
5. Character including trustworthiness and reliability.
6. Promise of success.
7. Interest in pursuing career in Computer Information Systems.
Selection Procedure:

Students receiving undergraduate degrees in May 2007 or August 2007 are not eligible for this scholarship.
Purpose: To assist Computer Information Systems major in securing an education.
Award Component: Four $300 scholarships.
Selection Criteria:
1. Enrolled as Junior or senior standing Computer Information Systems major.
2. Scholarship consistent with self-support through work beyond studies and minimum 3.0 GPA.
3. Leadership.
4. Character including trustworthiness and reliability.
5. Promise of success.

Selection Criteria:
1. Business Education major.
2. Completion of 15 hours in business.
3. Minimum 2.5 overall GPA and minimum 3.0 GPA in business courses.
4. Participation in campus activities.
5. Financial need.
6. Availability to transfer students.

Purpose: To assist a promising student who is preparing for a career in business teaching.
Award Component: Two $1,200 scholarships.
Selection Criteria:
1. Business Education major.
2. Enrollment in 12 hours or more each semester.
3. Completion of 24 hours at Missouri State University.
4. Minimum 3.2 GPA.
5. Financial need.
6. Recipient must reapply to renew!

Purpose: To provide a scholarship for a student who has a strong interest in business education.
Award Component: One $850 scholarship.
Selection Criteria:
1. Business Education major.
2. Enrollment at Springfield campus in 12 hours or more each semester.
3. Completion of 54 hours.
4. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
5. Participation in campus and community activities and leadership.
6. Financial need.

Award Component: Two $1,000 Scholarships.
Selection Criteria:
1. Enrolled as Sophomore, junior, or senior standing Computer Information Systems major.
2. Enrollment in 12 hours or more each semester.
3. Minimum 3.2 GPA.
4. Active member of Missouri State University’s chapter of professional career organization related to major.

3. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

3. Enrollment at Springfield campus in 12 hours or more each semester.
4. Financial need for anyone living in Greene, Polk, Dade, Lawrence, Christian, Webster or Dallas county.

Purpose: To be awarded to a junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems
Award Component: One $1000 cash award/scholarship
Selection Criteria:
1. Enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student with 3.3 or better GPA
2. Student must submit the following to the Computer Information Systems Department Head in a sealed envelope:
a. One page essay including: (1) applicant’s description of an ideal company and (2) how education has prepared applicant for their career.
b. Copy of transcript.
c. Recommendation letter from a faculty member.

3. The COBA Scholarship Committee will submit applications and essays to HealthMEDX for review and selection.
